HISTORIC CITY

This is our number one circuit. In it you will discover the urban and social contrasts in three different parts of Santiago. It starts off with the bohemian and European style neighbourhoods around the Santa Lucía Hill. Then we will walk through the old entrance of the city, over the Mapocho River, and to the more popular and authentic side of Santiago that will surprise you with a mixture of life and markets. Our tour finally ends in Plaza de Armas, Santiago’s main square where history meets the present.

PUBLIC BUILDINGS

The history, architecture and civic life of Santiago are reflected upon the different public buildings visited on this circuit. You will be able to see museums, political and judicial buildings, the impressive Cathedral and many others that will allow you get a glimpse of Santiago’s republican and civic life.

BELLAVISTA & CHIMBA QUARTER

At the other side of the Mapocho River the city is quieter and has grown with more of a countryside atmosphere. Characters such as painters, poets and monks blend in with the popular markets surrounding this quarter. In this tour you will visit the house of Nobel Price winner Pablo Neruda, you will encounter typical Chilean houses, visit Patronato Market, offering clothes and accessories, and finally “la Vega Central” where all the fruits, vegetables and produce from Chile arrive every day.

ANTIQUE & FLEA MARKETS

We invite you to take a trip around the exciting antique and flea markets of the city. First you will encounter Parque de los Reyes Boulevard followed by the massive Franklin Persa Market, where you can find old and exotic wares. It ends at Avenida Italia, famous for its antiquities.



CEMETERY THRILL

The “Cementerio General” is the oldest and main cemetery of Santiago. Most of the main figures of Chilean history, such as Salvador Allende, are buried here. The cemetery also has unique pieces of art and a spectacular garden. This tour starts at night, when all the spirits and thrills come out of the graves to surprise you. The guides know every inch of this place and will tell you many stories while you walk through a graveyard holding a candle.
